This painting shows men in Sierra Leone using sustainable earth bag methods to build a school in their community. My husband and I worked with his cousin Patti Cole and Tiffany Persons of Shine on Sierra Leone to fulfill 'Adama's Dream' of building a school back in her homeland.

I composed this image of my two children on Easter morning. The light coming through the window and the atmosphere in background lent an ethereal calm to the painting. I don't think Jacob and Alana were actually that calm!
